Deponia Doomsday Review

Deponia Doomsday is the latest title released in Deponia Game Series even though this adventure and point and click game series was said goodbye by the Daedalic Entertainment. Well, I think they decided not to let go off this series pretty easily and with the fourth installment it seems they have plans to continue. In this game of the series they used the concept of time travel which made things pretty easy for the developers to create some content and presenting new characters to the series.

In Deponia Doomsday Review, we will be talking about good, bad and worse things about this game. Rufus journey took pace after he met with new friend Professor McChronicle. They travel through time, space, distant lands and explore various worlds. Even though the idea of time travelling is great but their always a feeling of boredom lurks from the start to the end. You are hoping for plot twists similarly like the previous Deponia games but their is none, yet the story and plot is good but did not pinch you as the other games in the series.

There are some new locations in the game to visit, some new characters to meet, but these characters did not seem as strong as the old ones and they really not making such an impact on the story either. Our main companion Professor McChronilce is also unimpressive in many ways and has no depth whatsoever.

The puzzles in the game are great and difficult too may be due to time travelling concept. There are some puzzles that will definitely give you hard time solving. Deponia Doomsday is the best and richest game in the series and you will definitely see this too because the gameplay experience is engaging full of challenges. There are many mini games and challenges for you to enjoy in the game such as kart races, swimming and golf.

Deponia Doomsday looks pretty much like the other games in the series, If you have played previous games you can see many locations from the series. But the art work, graphics and visuals are really stunning and the music is also pretty good in this game. Deponia Doomsday has new concepts and adventures and plenty of new character. Having so many character in the game works as downside of the game as there is not enough time to really get to know these characters.

Either you are a fan of the series or a new one trying out this game for the first time will definitely going to enjoy Deponia Doomsday.  You do not need previous three games to know what has happened in the series which means this installment has everything you need to enjoy this adventurous point and click game.
