In Top 10 Video Games Coming in June we will be looking at the top 10 best games that are coming in the month of June. June is a light month in terms of game releases but there are still some pretty awesome games to be on the lookout for.
The below list top 10 video games covers games planned to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. So without a further ado let’s get started with number 10.
10. 7 Days to Die
7 Days to Die is a zombie horror-survival and open world video game with crafting and world building features. The game is set in a post apocalyptic world which is overrun by undead zombies. 7 Days to Die is a great combination of crafting, survival, first person shooter and open world game.
The game is developed by The Fun Pimps. 7 Days to Die was first released in December 2013 as a Steam’s Early Access program. The final game will be released next month (June) on PC and consoles. The game’s version for consoles such as Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released by Telltale Games.
You will spawn in a post apocalyptic world and must survive as long as possible against the undead zombies. As the days do by in the game the zombies will get tougher and hard to kill. Multiplayer game mode is also available as player hosted servers.
9. Umbrella Corps
Umbrella Corps or Biohazard Umbrella Corps is an action zombie and third person shooter video game. Umbrella Corps is a spin off of a Resident Evil games and is a multiplayer shooter. The game is set in the year of 2015, 2 years after the event of Resident Evil 6 and 12 years after the collapse of Umbrella Corporation.
Players will play the role of mercenaries from 2 different corporations and players have to cooperate with fellow mercenaries to eliminate the opponent team. Umbrella Corps has a pretty standard multiplayer game mode but it also has traditional Resident Evil maps, zombies and environments such as Resident Evil 4 map.
Umbrella Corps does not have a main campaign but it has a single player Horde Mode with 20 missions where you fight against waves of zombies and enemies. The game has intense shooter experience with cover mechanics. The game is planned to be released on 21st June for PC and PlayStation 4.
8. The Technomancer
The Technomancer is a science fiction role playing video game developed by Spiders. The game is set on colonized Mars and you play the role of ZACHARIAH who is a rookie Technomancer, who is on the run from the secret police.
There are different factions to join in The Technomancer and you have different playstyles, classes, combat and options on how you upgrade your character. Each class in the game have different dialogues that makes The Technomancer very replayable. The visuals in the game do not look too good but it has pretty amazing premise and setting. The Technomancer releases on 21st June on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
7. Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens
The Lego games are one of the fun and non nonsensical games in the market, and now comes the Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens the latest installment in the Lego games. The Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens is based on the film, the gameplay is generally the same as other Lego games but also include some additions.
In the game you have access to Multi-builds that allow players to destroy and rebuild the sections of the game which then opens up new paths in the game’s world. Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens will not only be adapting the recent movie it also a content between the return of the Jedi and Force Awakens. Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens is releasing on June 28th on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
6. Mighty No. 9
Mighty No. 9 is a game that was in development for quite a while. Many consider the Mighty No. 9 a spiritual successor to the Mega Man and you can definitely see the similarities from level & character design, gameplay structure. There are definitely some elements from the blue bomber in Mighty No. 9.
However, Mighty No. 9 has its own presence and entity, the game has big emphasis on score. In each level of the ame you try to get the highest score possible and you can revisit levels to increase your score. Mighty No. 9 is adding a modern day mechanics to itself which is pretty nice.
Mighty No. 9 has awesome visuals with great particle effects. The game has been delayed several times, but don’t sleep on Mighty No. 9 because it still has potential to be a great game. Mighty No. 9 releases on June 21st PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
5. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is developed by Vanillaware and Atlus, it was initially released back in 2007 on the PlayStation 2. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is an awesome 2D action RPG game with stunning hand drawn visuals. The soundtrack was great, the gameplay was unique and now it’s being remastered that will run in 1080p and 60 Frame/second.
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir got more gameplay, content and it also got both Japanese and English voice over. If you haven’t played Odin Sphere, I’m telling you it’s a fantastic game and this Odin Sphere Leifthrasir will be by far the best version. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir releases on June 7th on PlayStation 4, Playstation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
4. God Eater: Resurrection
God Eater is one of the most popular games in Japan and it finally comes to the west with the name God Eater Resurrection. In God Eater Resurrection you are tasked to fight against creatured called Aragami ranging from small beasts to gigantic bosses.
The story of God Eater Resurrection is not that great but the gameplay is where the game shines the most. God Eater Resurrection released on June 20th on PC, PlayStation One, PlayStation Vita and do not forget that God Eater 2 is also launching later in the summer.
3. Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness
Star Ocean is finally making a comeback, Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness will be a first game in the series since 2009’s The Last Hope. The Last Hope had a lot of issues in its story telling, the writing was pretty bad and the English voice overs were atrocious. However the gameplay of The Last Hope was excellent, the combat was never repetitive and always engaging.
With Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness the core fast paced gameplay will be retained but hopefully the story telling will be improved. The cut scenes of the game are seamlessly integrated into the gameplay which is great because the last game had series of long winded cut scenes that weren’t very good. Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness releases on June 21st for PlayStation 4.
2. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
2008′ Mirror’s Edge was by no means a perfect game but it was so different than anything else on the market at that time. We had an overload of first person shooters and came along a first person platformer that had guns but it was not the core focus of the game. It was just a very interesting title. While it didn’t perform at par commercially but over the years it has got cult following leading to EA finally announcing Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which is not a sequel rather an origin story of the main character Faith.
This time Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be fully open world, taking place in a gorgeous city of Glass. From playing the beta, the game looks great and plays very well too. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has seen few delays but it looks like it will finally be releasing on 7th June for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
1. No Man’s Sky
No Man’s Sky was announced back in 2013 shortly after the release of PlayStation 4 and it instantly became one of the most anticipated games on the Platform. No Man’s Sky is an open universe game where you play as planetary explorer tasked to explore 18 Quintilian planets. Well, it’s impossible that you will ever be able to explore that many planets, just know that the game is going to have a ton of content.
No Man’s Sky is built on four gameplay pillars exploration, survival, combat and trading. The game isn’t just mindless exploration, you may draw the attention of sentinels which will attempt to kill you and then you have to fight them off.
You will have to collect the upgrades for your ship in order to complete the game’s main objective of reaching the center of the galaxy. The small team at Hello Games appear to be creating a gigantic game that is fully packed with ambition. That is why it’s on the number one spot in Top 10 Video Games Coming in June. No Man’s Sky releases on June 21st for PC and PlayStation 4.
