Aside from unlocking the Ultimate Explorer trophy, you can activate an infinite ammo cheat when you collect 27 Gold Bolts and Invulnerability cheat when you collect total 28 Gold Bolts.

Finding all these Gold Bolts is really difficult at the first play through of the game as it requires different gadgets such as Magnet Boots or Jet Thruster.
