No Man’s Sky is one of the most awaited games for the year 2016. No Man’s Sky is a first person adventure-survival game with procedurally generated universe to explore and it is released for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The game was getting pretty great reviews when it was first released for PlayStation 4 on 9th August. But yesterday on 12th August after the release for Microsoft Windows the Steam Page of No Man’s Sky is totally overpowered by Mostly Negative reviews from players.

Mostly all the negative reviews are consists of startup crashes, black/white screens or random crashes during gameplay. Well I’m not sure whether this guide will help you or not this time because the game is generally got some pretty big issues as it is not well optimized for PC. But nonetheless, in No Man’s Sky Crashes, Errors and Bug Fixes guide we will be discussing all the above mentioned issues and try to provide possible workarounds for the No Man’s Sky.

First of all, before installing the game make sure to check the minimum system requirements. The game really needs a powerful system and you should first check whether your system can run it or not.

No Man’s Sky does support XBOX controller. However, the controller may not work for you or you may not be able to customize the keys. In that case use any 3rd party software such as Joy2key to customize the key bindings.

If you redeem the Alpha Vector Ship in the tutorial part of the game before building the hyperdrives, you will get stuck in the current star system. So you should redeem your pre-order bonus ship after building hyperdrives in the tutorial.

However, The general solution for these crashes is to update all your system drivers. It can be tricky but you can use a driver scanner application to help you out in this regard. You can install this DriverScanner software and then scan your PC for any outdated drivers.

One Important thing to note here is that as the launch day of No Man’s Sky, the latest driver version for both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs have been recommended for download and install for No Man’s Sky. So make sure you have these following versions of GPU drivers installed before installing the game.

G-Sync is an application from Nvidia which allows amazingly improved visuals on the HQ monitors that supports this application.For those gamers who do not have these G-Sync capable monitor, this feature of NO Man’s Sky causes more harm when activated. Hello Games has this G-Sync activated by default in the game. To disable this feature follow the below workaround:

 To disable this featyre first you need to locate the game’s directory.

On Steam you can find  this directory here

If you have a GoG version of NO Man’s Sky,  then you can locate this directory here

C:\Galaxy Client Games\No Man’s Sky (Galaxy Client)

C:\GoG\No Man’s Sky (If manually installed from GoG.com)

For all the above paths C is the drive name where the game is installed.

When you found the game install directory, open Binaries folder and then locate Settings directory. Now locate this .MXML file titled as ‘TKGRAPHICSETTINGS’ and open it using Notepad. Now you need to locate a line that says name=”GSync” value=”True”, this will be located right under a line name=”VSync” value=”true”. Now to disable G-Sync simply change the ‘True’ word to ‘False’, so that the line will become name=”GSync” value=”False”. Save and Now you should have a smooth gameplay.

One more important thing to look for is that you should have installed the Day One Patch of No Man’s Sky. Hello Games has released the Day One patch/update to fix the most common Errors/ Bugs and glitches for the PS4 and PC. So make sure that you have an extra 4.22 GB disk space to install the patch. It will definitely make your life easy in No Man’s Sky.
